Some maps are indicated with concrete powder at spawn, signifying that they contain more than one map. This comes with a few caveats, however.

  • Hub maps do not qualify as multiple ending maps, as they are seen as a container where other maps are stored instead of different endings to the same gameplay. Therefore, maps like Project: Survival and Skullerful do not qualify as multiple ending maps.
  • Map Series do not qualify as multiple ending maps, since they do not feature the same gameplay sections. Therefore, maps like E and World Tour do not qualify as multiple ending maps.
  • This category only applies to maps where alternate endings reward points and have their own map name like Time Lab and Zeitpfalz. Maps that have purely aesthetically different endings, like Odysseus and The Beep Factory, do not qualify as multiple ending maps.
  • Multiple ending maps can have map endings of any level of secrecy. They can be as well signposted as those in Grim Boo's Trial and Precipice are, to as hidden as those in Night Walk and rubby and the giant carrot.
  • Only the standard ending map is labeled as a multiple ending map. For example, Vezzano Ligure is a multiple ending map, but Faces of Vezzano is not.
  • Maps with secret endings that are unassessed are in a gray area. Some of these, like Journey and Sanctuary, qualify as multiple ending maps. Some maps, like Cemetery and To Be Kind, do not.
