Artifacts are a permanent search initially added to Minr for the server's 15th Anniversary. The player can find Artifact player heads across a significant number of maps and the Artifacts Hub. Finding an artifact gives the player trivia and contributes to obtaining unique cosmetics.
Contents
General[edit]
Artifacts are player heads that, when clicked on, gives the player trivia about the server. The trivia covers topics from general commands the player should know to server history that has since become obsolete and more. There are six tiers of Artifacts distinguished by color; gray are common, green are uncommon, blue are heroic, purple are epic, yellow are legendary, and red are mythic. Generally, the more difficult an Artifact is to find, the higher its rarity. Artifact rarity also slightly affects the trivia from the Artifact: common artifacts have well known information, while legendary and mythic artifacts have more obscure trivia.
Sets[edit]
All artifacts are split into groups called sets. These sets refer to when the artifact was added, with Set 1 artifacts being added October 21, 2025 and Set 2 artifacts being added March 27, 2026. Artifacts from all sets function similarly, but rewards and lists are split by which set the artifact comes from.
Mythic Artifacts[edit]
Added in Set 2, mythic artifacts function differently to artifacts in lower tiers. Mythic artifacts do not disclose what map they are hidden in until one person has found the artifact, meaning players must initially go off of the artifact name alone to find them. Mythics can be hidden in any map that has another different artifact in it, including those from the first set. The player who first finds the mythic artifact is immortalized in the artifact description.
Hub[edit]
There are several ways to reach the Artifacts Hub. Players can run /join artifact, green+ rank players can use /warp artifact, and players can access the area from spawn by going to the second floor above where new maps are located or to a join sign in the events area.
The hub contains information about how artifacts work in a guidebook, signs for the different artifact lists, signs of the different artifact thresholds for cosmetics, and the join signs for artifact-related challenges. A sign in this area also states how many artifacts the player has found.
Artifact Lists[edit]
There are several signs in the artifacts area of spawn that list artifacts for the player. There are three different lists the player can choose from: a number order list, a chronological list of all player-found artifacts based on when the player found them, and a list of all artifacts the player is missing. Found artifacts are listed with dim gold text, while missing Artifacts have gray text.
All three lists have three toggles that can be used. The first toggles which set list to use, the second shows and hides the name of undiscovered artifacts, and the third shows and hide the location of artifacts. Artifacts will always display their rarity in the lists, even if both toggles are set to hide.
Alongside these lists, players can also track artifact progress by downloading or cloning the Google Sheets file with this link.
Artifact Rewards[edit]
There are two ways to get artifact rewards. The first is to reach different thresholds of total artifacts found, and the second is to reach different thresholds of total epic and legendary artifacts found. There are 335 Set 1 artifacts and 250 Set 2 artifacts.
The normal cosmetic rewards are shown in the tables below.
| Total Set 1 Artifacts | Reward | Total Set 2 Artifacts | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | Tis but a Tulip Hat | 25 | Gray Hair Hat |
| 20 | Blonde Hair Hat | 50 | Gang of Misfits Challenge (Sharpshooter I Hat) |

| 10 | Explorer Hat | 10 | Astronaut Hat |
| 20 | Pioneer Hat | 20 | Grateness Hat |

Artifact Challenges[edit]
There are nine normal challenges unlocked by finding artifacts, each of which rewards its own cosmetic hat. Challenges with lower artifact requirements tend to be Soul-Link challenges, while those on the opposite end tend to be difficult timed challenges.
Super Challenges[edit]
Added with Set 2, super challenges are much more difficult challenges that have much higher requirements for joining them. Each of the challenges rewards a cosmetic, with the final challenge rewarding the Trivia Master Title. Challenge requirements are shown below.
| Challenge Name | Requirements | Challenge Points Reward | Cosmetic Reward |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consistency Test | Find 75 Epic+ Artifacts | 600 | Meltdown Hat |

History[edit]
Previously, Chillers had an Arcade that tasked players with finding Moneybags in maps that give Arcade Credits. When transition to the current spawn, however, the casino was not transferred over, and Moneybags became obsolete. Afterwards, work was done off and on for a new version of this system called Artifacts.
rmanimal joined the project in late 2024/early 2025 and went on a spree to hide nearly 200 more locations for Artifacts to complete the project. Work was then done over the next few months to write trivia for the Artifacts and link each trivia to an Artifact. For both phases of the project, the help of several staff members was enlisted.
Most of the Set 1 artifact cosmetics are cosmetics originally made for the Arcade that were sold for around a week. For several years, these cosmetics were not obtainable. With Artifacts, however, players could obtain these cosmetics again.
Since the reception of Artifacts was generally positive, work was started in January to create a second set of artifacts to account for the time between when the event was first started in early 2023 to the present day in 2025. A map drought in February was used as the cutoff point for the set. Due to having four consistent contributors for this set (rmanimal, jasmine476, facecat1, and andrewforreal), it took only three months to make and release Set 2. The concept of mythic artifacts and super challenges were added with Set 2, and the final missing Arcade cosmetics (sharpshooter hats) were added with the normal challenges.
