General[edit]
Story[edit]
The player and their partner have been tasked by the king to save the princess from the evil ice wizard Masama. They both much go through Mount Oji and through the trials in the ice castle known as Kakashi.
Gameplay[edit]
Kakashi is a 2-player lengthy co-op map with several different types of gameplay. The map begins with several short mazes and three co-op parkour sections to get to the first checkpoint. Then, one player must guide the other throught blindness parkour and find the way into the castle to reach checkpoint 2. The players must then solve several puzzles and perform some parkour to get through the Icebound gate to checkpoint 3. The players then get through several rooms, some of which involve frost walker parkour, to get to checkpoint 4. Some more puzzles and parkour is needed to reach checkpoint 5, and after the checkpoint is a mob fight serving as the final showdown against Masama.
Aesthetics[edit]
The beginning Mount Oji section is built out of mostly stone, dirt, and torches. Once the players reach the exterior field around Kakashi Castle, the map has a snow theme with spruce trees, snow and ice everywhere, and an NPC snowman that helps the players break in. The castle exterior and interior use a variety of white, blue, and cyan blocks like packed ice, quartz, lapis blocks, cyan concrete powder, prismarine bricks, and so on.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in 4 challenges: 2018 Assortment, Hard Co-op Pack, Santas Elves, and Hexa. It is not contained in the Hexalite I challenge due to a decision to remove co-op requirements from that challenge.
Trivia[edit]
- Kakashi was the first co-op adventure to ever exist on the server, with the only other co-op required maps that came before it being Brothers' Therapy and Heist.
- There is a Mimic box outside of the main castle area for Hardcore 8.0.
- In the exterior castle area is a hard to see red tulip. This might be a reference to Zatharel's Tulip Secrets that are usually hidden in that creator's maps.
