To find the times to a map, do /c times map-code or /c times map-name. To look at a page past the first 8 top times (if it exists), do /c times page-# map-code or /c times page-# map-name.

Whenever a player joins a map, clicks the first checkpoint sign, or dies at the first checkpoint, their map time is reset to 0. Time then continuously increments until the player hits the finish sign at the end of the map their checkpoint is at. While in a map, players can see their current map time in the tab list.
== Getting a time ==

In order to get a time, you have to click the start sign to begin, then hit the points sign at the end of the course. Offline time is also included, so make sure to be uninterrupted if you want to receive a top time. Mid-checkpoint signs are not required to hit for a time, and using green+ commands such as /rocket during a run will invalidate the time.

== Time announcing ==

Once you beat a map, you will be told how long you took, what your previous best is (if there is one), and what ranking your new time is if it exceeds your previous best. If you place 3rd or higher and it's a better rank than you had previously, it will be announced in main chat—yellow for 3rd place, dark gray for 2nd, and gold for 1st. These will only be announced if you didn't already have the rank before the run (e.g. placing 2nd on a map in which you are already 2nd place).

== Map Placing Sorting ==

If you want to sort maps you have beaten by your ranking in them, do /c ffa page-# rank.

== Shortcut patching ==

Due to the nature of some shortcuts and to the decision of the map creator(s), sometimes shortcuts will be patched that make the best times impossible. When this occurs, times that are impossible are removed. If you find a shortcut you believe skips too much of the map and is unintended, report it in the [https://forums.minr.org/forums/shortcuts.74/ shortcuts subforum].

Timers can sometimes be interrupted, changing how times are stored when completing a map or challenge. The most extreme form of this is timer invalidation, which clears the current timer and does not count a completion for the map or challenge the player was in. These are typically caused by failing a challenge requirement, such as dying too many times in limited lives challenges. Challenge timers can be invalidated while map timers remain active.

Times are a part of the minr plugin that allow players to speedrun maps and challenges. Times only award Speedrun Score for beating maps. For more information specifically about the Speedrun Score rewards and breakdown, visit the Points page.

Getting a Time[edit]

Whenever a player joins a map, clicks the first checkpoint sign, or dies at the first checkpoint, their map time is reset to 0. Time then continuously increments until the player hits the finish sign at the end of the map their checkpoint is at. While in a map, players can see their current map time in the tab list.

When time stops, the player's completion time is first checked against all map times for its ranking. This ranking is displayed next to the time the player received. If it is the player's new best time, that time is saved into the leaderboard.

Getting a Challenge Time[edit]

Getting times for challenges is slightly different than for maps. Starting a challenge begins a timer that runs alongside map timers, and it only resets by quitting and rejoining the challenge, hitting the first checkpoint sign in the first map in the challenge, or by dying at checkpoint 0 in the first map of the challenge. Challenge times stop when players hit the finish sign for the final map in the challenge.

Time Announcements[edit]

If the player gets 1st, 2nd, or 3rd on a map or challenge which improves their placement, the time will be announced for all players. First place is announced in gold, second place in silver, and third place in bronze. The only instance where players can get a time announced for a placement they already have is when first place improves their time, which gets its own message.

Time Commands[edit]

Running "/map times <map>" will show the top 8 times for the chosen map. Players can click the arrows to change the placements listed by multiples of 8. To get to a later page quickly, "/map times <map> <page>" also works.

For challenges, "/ch times <challenge>" and "/ch times <challenge> <page>" perform similar functions.

Invalid and Null Times[edit]

Timers can sometimes be interrupted, changing how times are stored when completing a map or challenge. The most extreme form of this is timer invalidation, which clears the current timer and does not count a completion for the map or challenge the player was in. These are typically caused by failing a challenge requirement, such as dying too many times in limited lives challenges. Challenge timers can be invalidated while map timers remain active.

Map times can also be nullified, which means that the completion will count as valid but there will be no recorded time. Timers nullifying is typically the result of using a progress saver in a map.

Trivia[edit]

  • In some instances you might find a time that is entirely -'s. This is due to a time being removed for that player or simply because they beat the map before the times plugin was in place.
