Thrice is a pure parkour map by marhjo and TheHexer that rewards 25 FFA Points when completed. Use "/join thr" to join the map directly.
General[edit]
Gameplay[edit]
Thrice requires the player to beat 7 sets of three rooms, with a checkpoint at the beginning of each set. Each of the sets has one base starting room that is made more difficult for room 2, and then is made to be even more difficult for room 3. Each of the sets is a different color, which is based on the server difficulty rating system (but is not actually reflective of those ratings).
The map begins with a tutorial hallway showcasing what each of the colors focuses on. Mechanics typically add onto previous rooms, with the only exception being the final set which drops the time mechanic. In the real map, each of the sets gets progressively longer rooms with more difficult parkour.
Progress Saver[edit]
Thrice has a progress saver. A sign at the beginning will bring you to the previous furthest set the player made it to. Beating the map resets the progress saver.
Aesthetics[edit]
The map has a hallway aesthetic that remains the same besides the base color. The base color comes from the server's difficulty system, beginning at white and ending at black. The jumps themselves are made from various stone blocks, and areas near the floor contain lava, smooth stone, and magma.
Board[edit]
Thrice is used by Board to set the upper boundary for expert parkour maps. New section-based parkour maps cannot be published if they are harder than Thrice.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in 11 challenges: 2021 Assortment, Colorful Demise, Parkour Besties Deluxe, Pure Pain Marathon, Pure Pain Marathon - Deluxe, The Badder Lands, Through The Roof, Thwice, Hexa Chapter III: New Heights, Hexa #3 Practice Pack, and Hexa.
Trivia[edit]
- One of the main goals of Thrice was to specifically cater to "feel" parkourists instead of "strat" parkourists. Essentially, sections like the timed red set of rooms were meant to make players perform jumps without setups.
- Thrice has a pseudo-sequel, Dodecad.
