General[edit]
Story[edit]
The player's mom has dragged them to furniture shopping at IKEA in Småland, Sweden. Dropped off at the daycare, the player must escape.
Gameplay[edit]
IKEAmaze begins with a search in a ball pit, leading into parkour across several animals. The player then navigates a 3D maze through the furnature rooms to reach the next section. The player then navigates through a restaurant dining maze, a storage area parkour maze, and a checkout queue maze to reach the last area. The map ends with a parking lot search.
Aesthetics[edit]
The map takes place in a giant IKEA store build, with an exterior made of blue and yellow blocks. The interior takes the player through several significant areas of an actual IKEA store, including the playplace, furniture aisles, dining area, storage facility, and checkout.

IKEAmaze was built for and submitted to Mazecomp I.

Trivia[edit]
- The map was inspired by a few other maze and search maps that came before it: Minas Tirith, Spooky Minr, Pistomatic, and 3D Maze.
- Visible from the parking lot is a large multi-colored room. Inside is an unfinished candyland style map that is currently unfinished.
