General[edit]

Story[edit]

In this map, you play as a boy named Liam. School is out in just a few days when the map begins, and he just wants to get through that last bit of misery before he can finally relax. However, strange dreams of otherworldly places have begun plaguing Liam every night. As the end-of-school trip is coming up, it seems that perhaps there is something more to these dreams?

Gameplay[edit]

As the name implies, this map is divided into 7 days and 7 nights. It begins on night 1, and alternates between days and nights counting upwards. Players are in a dream during the night, and performing tasks during the day. The setting, gameplay, and end-goal of each dream varies greatly from night to night. Most of the days, however, take place inside Liam's school, where players must perform tasks and complete objectives for many NPCs representing the students and teachers inside the school. This map is quite unique in that players return to this same school multiple times, but depending on which day it is, different NPCs will have tasks for Liam that otherwise do nothing on any other day (though all of them have something to say when clicked on). A few of the days take place elsewhere, but the aspect of completing a task for an NPC is maintained, exept in the finale.

Aesthetics[edit]

As stated above, the setting and look of the dreams vary greatly. Liam's house as well has all of the houses in his neighborhood are made mostly out of wood with roofs of stone bricks. The walls of the school are made entirely out of bricks, with large outer windows framed with quartz. The classrooms have desks made of wooden stairs and slabs, and are lit mostly by torches. Each classroom is arranged decorated differently depending on the subject it's labeled by, often using player heads that look like various objects to do this.

Challenges[edit]

This map is featured in three challenges: 2019 Assortment, The Path of Heroes, and Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • 7 Days of Dreaming was submitted for the 2018-2019 Adventure Competition, placing first. luckylukecraft as well as the creators of the #2 and #3 maps won a special title reward for this, reading "Adventurer" in light blue above their names.
