History[edit]
A few months before Zero, Minr was known as a server called Mylar. A world, known as One, existed where players built maps using an old system similar to how the server functions today. While some facts are known about these early months (and preserved in the scripted blue exclamation mark heads), much of the history for the area is lost to time. It is not known when or why the world was reset for what is now known as Zero.
In March 2021, c_dric (Mylar, and subsequently Minr's previous owner) found an old world file for One. After some modifications and restoration efforts from staff, Mylar was opened to the public in early April. To further preserve it, a region was made around Mylar, and players were set to not have sprint.
History Cont.[edit]
Mylar is a fake world area created by BTJRedwing, TheHexer, ZombieKiler, and pieceofcheese for April Fools in 2021. It features several areas which parallel real parts of the server's history, such as the starting area "snowy spawn" referencing Desert Spawn. The central design of the area references X closely as well. A large number of fake player names were made for the area, several of which reference real players that were a part of the server's history (e.g. GreekTheGood -> RomanTheEvil, silver20000 -> silver8888, The_Neo -> TheNerdy, etc.). There are also several fake maps which staff made that are only playable in Mylar, many of which have vague allusions to real maps or locations on the server.
Mylar Maps[edit]
All Mylar maps are technically located in The Valley. These maps are not joinable, and can only be played by finding their start signs in Mylar.
Trivia[edit]
- There are several references and an entire griefed snow area detailing a fake "Christmas Maze" incident which happened in Mylar.
