Desert Bus is an adventure map by Marrimars that rewards 0 FFA Points when completed. The map can only be joined by all ranks through the Events section of spawn.
General[edit]
Story[edit]
You want to watch a TV program, but need to take the bus to get there. The bus will not arrive for another nine hours, so you decide to walk instead.
Gameplay[edit]
Most of the map involves running in a straight line while needing to go through a set of fences every so often. There are sparse sections of different scenery or gameplay as the player progresses.
Aesthetics[edit]
Desert Bus takes place in one giant tunnel that runs nearly the whole perimeter of Theta. The walls and ceiling are made of sand and sandstone, with occasional red sandstone lights in the ceiling. There are dead bushes and cacti that dot the sides of the road, and the road itself is made of black concrete powder and yellow carpets.
Challenges[edit]
This map is not featured in any challenges due to being in the Funhouse.
Trivia[edit]
- This is a joke map made for April Fools 2024. It is inspired by the mini-game of the same name in the cancelled Penn & Teller's Smoke and Mirrors game. In the game, the player prevents a bus from veering off the road for 8 real life hours to score a point. The map takes around the same amount of time to beat.
- Desert Bus is one of a few rare instances where players of all ranks can play a map that is not in FFA.
- Every so often, the player will get a new bus prefix based on their progress in the map.
