Quick Time is a mixed maze with guess map by Alphaesia. The map rewards 7 FFA Points, and it can be joined directly using "/join cqt".

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

Each of the three mazes in Quick Time are timed. The goal is to reach the end of the maze before time is up. Because the timer is longer than the time it takes to fully explore the maze, the player will likely need to retry sections and use prior knowledge to beat them. The third maze also offers bonus surprises that will kill the player if they aren't careful.

Aesthetics[edit]

The start, end, and in between sections of the map are made of mostly coal blocks and barriers. At the bottom of these rooms are either the credits or a small scale aesthetic omage to the next maze section.

The first maze, Sandstorm, is desert themed, and it uses red sand, sand, yellow stained glass, yellow terracotta, gold blocks, and redstone torches. The second maze, Darkness, is designed like an infinity maze with endless walls. This maze uses redstone lamps, spruce, dark oak, black stained glass panes, and coal blocks. The third maze, Knowledge, is dungeon library themed. It uses bookselves, oak fences, mossy cobblestone, stone bricks, and cobblestone to make the accessible maze area. The roof of the third maze goes further above the player's head to make room for two chandeliers.

Challenges[edit]

The map is featured in two challenges: Hexa Chapter I: Legacy and Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • Unlike modern maps, Quick Time uses command blocks and redstone for the countdown and killing the player if they are within the bounds of the maze. There are no safeguards for restarting before the time is up, so starting a new run of a maze without waiting is likely to kill the player.
