General

Gameplay

The Chainweaver is a map about sliding block puzzles that become more complicated as both different mechanics and dimensions are added. The map is split into two sections: a front half and a back half. The first half begins with a tutorial level before having six different puzzles the player can complete in any order (though they are chronologically numbered). Beating the first six numbered puzzles unlocks puzzle 7, and beating puzzle 7 takes the player to the second half of the map.

The second and more difficult half of The Chainweaver splits nine puzzles into three colors: Red, Yellow, and Blue. Each color has three puzzles within it as well. All nine of these puzzles can be played in any order, though each must be beaten before the final puzzle is unlocked. After beating these nine puzzles and the final puzzle, the player completes the map.

Aesthetics

The map begins in a valley with large flowers. The walls use a mix of light blue and white blocks, and puzzles are built into caves on the sides. The second half takes place in a large cave. The walls are made using a mix of cyan, black, and white blocks. The floor is lava, chains extend through the center of the cave, and puzzles take place in colored spheres.

This map is featured in 4 challenges: 2022 Assortment, The Pure Puzzle Marathon, Hexa Chapter III: New Heights, and Hexa.

Trivia

• The areas used to have a different aesthetic. Late into development, the walls were worldedited to use color mixes instead.
