General

Story

The map begins after the story of Sea of Redstone, with Fred waking up to a note from Dara about trying to explain what happened. The player then plays as Maria for the rest of the map and follows her perspective as she tries to finish a machine for her employer, Feros, before both she and her husband Fred is fired. Along the way, Dara is hired as an assistant, who learns with Maria about the sinister nature behind the machine's true purpose and about a Cataclysm.

Gameplay

Hue of Redstone tasks the player with solving three redstone related puzzles to reach the end.

Aesthetics

The map takes place in two main locations: a home and a workplace. The house has white terracotta walls, jungle plank floors, and quartz ceilings. The workplace has smooth stone and light gray concrete flooring, cyan terracotta walls with iron block supports, and ceilings with iron bars, iron blocks, iron trapdoors, and polished deepslate in them.

Trivia

• Hue of Redstone had a puzzle break due to an update with observers and was pulled in March of 2025. The map remained broken until the puzzle was updated in October, and the map was moved back to FFA December 7, 2025.
  • Being pulled from FFA is the main reason why it is in very few challenges.
