General[edit]
Story[edit]
After losing their wife, daughter, and job, the player enrolls in a program to spend six months on an asteroid for a program called Project Sierra. They are chosen and sent to a shuttle base, but get forgotten and wake up to the sound of the shuttle preparing for launch. The player needs to get onto the space shuttle before it takes off.
Gameplay[edit]
Project Sierra is split into three different parts, each with their own gameplay. The map begins with several find the button segments to open the way forward. The map then requires the player to navigate a multi-level maze. Finally, the player must parkour on a lift to get to the shuttle. There is a middle checkpoint at the bottom of the lift parkour.
Aesthetics[edit]
Most of the map takes place at a launch base with rooms made of iron blocks, stone, stone bricks, and smooth stone. The base has several different locations inside and a space shuttle made of mostly iron blocks and wool. A significant portion of the map's aesthetics come from a build made by Corpeh.
Controversy[edit]
In 2019, several years after the map's release, it was discovered by _Fire_ that Project Sierra heavily used a Planet Minecraft Space Shuttle and Base build by Corpeh. The map was taken out of FFA+ and made inaccessible as admins figured out what to do, as a significant portion of the map was an exact copy of the PMC build. A statement was issued and the rules were updated to define what original content meant on the server.
After a few months, Corpeh gave his permission for the map to be used with credits, and the map returned to FFA. However, the map is permanently disallowed from entering FFA+ due to a significant amount of the map's content not originating from the server.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in 3 challenges: Glorious Expedition, Hexa Chapter I: Legacy, and Hexa.
