Desert Spawn

The spawn-in area of Desert Spawn.

Desert Spawn is an old server spawn used from 2011^[?] to 2014 and then in circulation with Jungle Spawn and Quartz Spawn until 2016. Over time, it has become the spawn associated with the server's early history, being used in several old maps due to its small size and historical omages such as The Legacy Project.

Layout

The player teleports to this spawn in a large open area with four warps: FFA, FFA+, Hardcore, and The Museum. Walking up into the building triggers a walk script with the quote "Better to burn than to fade away." Inside, an old version of the FAQ exists with a sign that sends players to Old FAQ Quiz for free points. Underneath the glass in the central building is a redstone combination lock that links to the exit door that is impossible to interact with (and not necessary due to the pressure plate in front of the door). Outside, the player is once again given the option to go to the four warps in the beginning spawn area.

Trivia

• On the other side of the northern wall is a pixel art of the server's ip.
• There is a hidden room past the building that players can access with a button.
• The time period for when Desert Spawn was in use is inconsistent across sources. Some places, such as the Hardcore boxes in the area, state it was used from 2010 to 2012. Others, like the Minr Tour, mention it being in circulation up to 2016.
• Christmas Spawn, a variant of Desert Spawn, is within 100 blocks.
• There are two extra inaccessible warps outside of the spawn area for The Valley and Ninja Warrior.
