General[edit]
Gameplay[edit]
The map begins with a 3D maze inside Earth. Once the player escapes, the rest of the map becomes parkour. Players parkour through the inside of Earth, the Moon, Venus, Mercury, and the Sun afterwards, with the map ending in the inner core of the Sun. Between each section is parkour in space which kills the player if failed. There is one middle checkpoint at the beginning of Mercury.
Aesthetics[edit]
Most of the map takes place inside different planets of the solar system. Earth is the most complex, with the 3D maze being various dirt and stone blocks and the parkour area taking place above a valley with oak and birch trees and a waterfall leading to the parkour start. The outside sphere of Earth uses blue and green wool. The Moon uses white wool for its shell and packed ice inside. The rest of the landmasses use the same blocks as their exteriors, with Venus using all sandstone variants, Mercury using mostly netherrack with lava inside, and the Sun using netherrack, lava, and fire. The core of the Sun uses netherrack, lava, glass, and red wool. The space area between astronomical bodies is a black wool box with jumps on white wool.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in 9 challenges: 2012 Assortment, Deep Space Dive, Rivers Run Red, Space Jam, The Path of Heroes, Welcome to Hell, Hexa Chapter I: Legacy, Hexa #1 Practice Pack, and Hexa.
Trivia[edit]
- The Sun section of Planets was famous for leading to a large amount of skips and exploits. One of these was swimming through the topside lava to get on top of the Sun to escape the map. The sun has since received a netherrack sphere layer to prevent map escapes.
- Planets in the server's early years was considered one of the hardest maps in FFA, being featured as one of three red maps in the then-hardest challenge Welcome to Hell. It has since been changed to Hard difficulty, along with the other two maps in that challenge, Cake Quake and Aqueous.
