General[edit]
Gameplay[edit]
Fire & Ice Maze is a 2D maze map. The walls of the maze are made from lava causing death for those that run into them. The floor is made from smooth stone slabs with ice underneath them. This simulates ice, causing manoeuvring to be more difficult. Since the ceiling is made of glass, the player can use third person to scout out the paths ahead.
Aesthetics[edit]
Fire & Ice Maze is an older map. Cobblestone and snow blocks create a pyramid roof for the maze. The maze uses lava walls flowing from a glass roof to create the paths. Smooth stone slabs over ice create the walking paths of the maze.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in four challenges: 2011 Assortment, Blue Oceans, White Waders, and Hexa.
Trivia[edit]
- Fire & Ice Maze used to be an Easy (blue) maze map. It was changed once Very Easy (white) maze maps were published.
- Nether portals are located at the entrance and exit of the maze. These are leftover from the old teleportation system.
