Mushroom Gorge is a mixed parkour map with maze elements by Bird_Obsession that rewards 7 FFA Points when completed. Use "/join mrg" to join the map directly.

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

Most of the map features parkour using standard, ladder, strafe, and slime jumps. Once the player reaches the red mushroom maze, they must find a six digit code to input into the final door to reach the end.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map takes place in two large valley areas with a lava cave tunnel connecting them. The ground is mycelium, and the walls are made of stone save for some cracks with red mushroom veins exposed. The first large area is brown mushroom themed with spruce log houses. The second large area is red mushroom themed with tall domed red mushrooms and a maze area with mushroom walls.

Hardcore[edit]

Mushroom Gorge was made as a part of mapmaking call for maps that would go into Hardcore 11.0. This map was one of the many chosen to be used for Hardcore, and was one of two choices for the second Endurance section map (HC-8-B) with the other being The Piano Room. It remained this way for Hardcore 11.1.

This map was then rotated back into FFA for Hardcore 12.0.

Challenges[edit]

This map is featured in 3 challenges: 2021 Assortment, Hexa Chapter III: New Heights, and Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • Based on some block remnants outside of the playable area, it is possible that one more large section was planned to take place before where the map currently begins.
  • Due to some talks about colorblind accessibility, signs were added to the maze code area about using F3 to see block ids.
