General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

This map tasks the player with navigating a multi-level blue void themed maze.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map is split up by large ellipsoids in a three dimensional grid pattern. These ellipsoids are made of stripped warped stems, warped wart blocks, stone bricks, and blackstone bricks. The maze path is made of white stained glass and soul torches, walled by barriers to prevent the player from falling off.

Board[edit]

Cosmic Core is used by Board to set the upper boundary for red/very hard maze maps. Map publishing and change threads reference this map to determine if other maze maps of similar difficulty should be red or black maps.

Challenges[edit]

This map is featured in 3 challenges: 2020 Assortment, Hexa Chapter II: The Renaissance, and Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • Cosmic Core was the tenth map in both Hardcore 11.0 and Hardcore 11.1. It served as a major blocker of Hardcore progress due to being a required highly difficult maze.
  • The map has a secret cat named Loser.
