Elusion is an adventure map by Alphaesia, Zatharel, and scionozion. It rewards 12 FFA Points upon completion, and the map can be joined directly using "/join elur".
General[edit]
Elusion is a remake of an older map featured in several early Hardcore iterations: Elusion Classic. The original map can be joined from a sign in the starting room of Elusion or through Mimic for Greens+.
Story[edit]
The player is going undercover into Elusion to figure out what is going on and report it.
Gameplay[edit]
The map involves intuiting how to make progress into the next section. Alongside this, the player is set to a low amount of hunger. This firstly means Elusion is a no-sprint map, rendering jumps further than a 2+1 impossible. Secondly, this means the player does not regenerate health, so deaths to chip damage taken throughout the map are possible.
Aesthetics[edit]
A large portion of the map is stylized after offices. The rest of the map, however, uses a variety of styles and designs. These include rainbow terracotta rooms, predominantly white tinted block areas, and railed lined hellscapes. As the map alludes to at the start, the aesthetic design of the place is not cohesive to one general thing.
Challenges[edit]
The map is featured in three challenges: Glorious Expedition, Hexa Chapter II: The Renaissance, and Hexa.
Trivia[edit]
- The map uses most of the same types of rooms seen in the original map, Elusion Classic. The main differences the remaster makes is improving the aesthetics across the board and fixing the redstone-based rooms (many of which were outright broken or not functional in the original).
- The remaster was designed to be used in Hardcore 10.0. Because of this, the map features design choices to fit Hardcore, such as its no-sprint gameplay and health conservation. These facets would appear again for version 11.0 with Fissure.
- The map has a One In The Quiver mini-game styled after it.
