The 256 Drop is a mixed dropper map with parkour and puzzle elements by Sullus that rewards 2 FFA Points when completed. Use "/join 256" to join the map directly.

General

Gameplay

The 256 Drop tasks the player with surviving six droppers to reach the end. Each dropper requires a different method for breaking the player's fall. At the beginning of each drop is a checkpoint sign to save progress.

Aesthetics

The map begins at the top of a mountain with ice and snow blocks. As the player descends, it transitions through different themes including a mining area, a fossil area, a lava cave, and a mushroom-filled grassy area.

Challenges

This map is featured in 10 challenges: 2020 Assortment, Faceplant, Falling for You, Falling Into Place, Free Fallin', Marathon, No Room For Error, The 256 Descent, Hexa Chapter II: The Renaissance, and Hexa.

The 256 Descent is a challenge specifically made for The 256 Drop, requiring the player to beat all of the drops without dying once.

Trivia

  • Attempting to use lava to beat the fifth drop will kill the player if they manage to survive the initial landing.
  • The map name and concept came from the, at the time, world height of 256 blocks. This has since been changed in Overworld dimensions due to Minecraft Version 1.17.
