Iris is a mixed parkour map with dropper and search elements by facecat1 that rewards 25 FFA Points when completed. Use "/join iris" to join the map directly.
General[edit]
Gameplay[edit]
Iris is a tall rankup parkour map where the goal is to get to the top of the area. After that, the map ends with a dropper where the player needs to go from the top to the bottom of the map. Even with a few post-publishing nerfs, Iris is considered to be in the mid to upper range of expert difficulty maps.
There are three middle checkpoints in Iris. Each is at or near the end of a cave section that detours from the main room.
Aesthetics[edit]
The map takes place in a tall tower. The lower half uses mostly gray walls, and it has clumps of purple blocks and obsidian veins to break up the walls. Halfway up, the aesthetic changes, and walls become light gray with orange blocks used throughout. The topmost section begins using white walls and has spruce and green blocks in it.
Parent Map[edit]
Iris is a secret map hidden inside Corundum.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in 2 challenges: No I in Team and True Iris. True Iris is only accessible by using its join sign at the beginning of Iris.
Trivia[edit]
- Despite Iris' secret entrance existing since Corundum was published, Iris itself was not published to FFA until nine months after Corundum.
- The challenge True Iris recreates the original intended experience of the map, which required the player to beat everything without checkpoints.
- The search element Iris has comes from the search needed to enter the map from Corundum. Iris itself contains no searching.
