General[edit]

Story[edit]

In The Legacy, you play as an archaeologist tasked with surveying a centuries-old temple. Little is know about what it encases, but your colleague's rumour that it houses the immense riches of the ancient Inauq people who once ruled over the surrounding lands. If the rumour is true, they aren't giving up their legacy without a challenge, and you quickly learn there's more to this ancient temple than meets the eye.

Gameplay[edit]

The Legacy features ten puzzles, each required to advance deeper into the temple's network of underground rooms. The puzzles are rather varied, and each will require a different type of approach or type of thinking. The Legacy is the first map and currently only map in the Legend of Inauq trilogy by BTJRedwing.

Aesthetics[edit]

The outside of the temple is surrounded by a lush forest with dark trees and an abundance of overgrowth. Near the start is a clearing complete with a pavilion and waterfall. Upon entering the temple, the rooms are worn and in ruins, but begin to feel more and more modern the further you delve into it.

Challenges[edit]

This map is featured in three challenges: The Pure Puzzle Marathon, 2020 Assortment, and Hexa Chapter II: The Renaissance.

Trivia[edit]

  • The Legacy was initially titled The Temple, but was later changed due to a name confliction.
  • A miniature version of the starting pavilion can be found in the parkour map Sky Runner.
  • BTJRedwing's birds, Ciri and Redwing, can be found in the starting forest and end room respectively.
