Avantgarde is a pure parkour map by _dx_. It rewards 2 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join sanc2".
General
After exploring Sanctuary, you find yourself travelling to the magical city of Avantgarde.
Gameplay
Exploring Avantgarde is split up into 4 sections; The Aviary, The Residences, The Markets, and The Heights. Each section gains a small bump in difficulty, and you may only progress exploring if you complete the above sections in consecutive order. The map ends on a final stretch, finishing on a hot air balloon just like in Sanctuary, ready for the next adventure.
Aesthetics
Avantgarde keeps many aesthetic elements that are present in Sanctuary, however, provides much greater detail with interiors, and the structure of buildings are much more geometric in nature so as to provide a more futuristic feel. The buildings themselves are very minimal on the exterior, comprised of quartz, and just like Sanctuary there are people that are traversing the city to provide the area with more life.

This map is featured in only one challenge: Hexa.
Trivia
Did you know? Avantgarde features many "Abodes" built by several members of the Greenie community on Minr - this is an homage to the hit map Abode which transformed the future of map-making on the server.
