Nightdream is a pure maze map by andrewforreal, facecat1, and JM4s. It rewards 2 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined using "/join ndr".

General

Gameplay

In Nightdream, the player explores a small dream world consisting of two large buildings and a hedge between them. The map is structured as a 3D maze throughout the buildings and hedge, with some simple parkour to cross between the buildings.

Aesthetics

The two buildings have their own separate aesthetics on the interior and exterior. One building has a lighter tone and primarily uses white and light gray blocks. The other building has a darker tone and primarily uses brown blocks and dark gray blocks. Featured at every dead end as well as other spots are small displays of storage, decoration, workspaces, etc. A few of these include a tree poking out of the building, a knight, and a potion brewing station. As well, throughout the floors of the halls are several rugs of varying designs. Between the buildings are small dark gray clouds made of glass. The hedge between the buildings uses a simple pallet of azalea leaves and moss. The ground is overgrown with small dripleaf, grass, and ferns. To the sides of the hedge, other dark and ambiguous buildings are visible. The map is surrounded in black concrete and stars are incorporated in the sky using enchanted variations of: birch buttons, iron nuggets, and ghast tears, inside of invisible item frames.

Challenges

This map is featured in one challenge: Hexa.

Trivia

  • Nightdream was originally a part of Find Myself, an adventure map that was built and submitted for Pride Mapjam 2023. Some time after the event finished, the creators of Find Myself decided to exclude this section from the map and submit it as its own separate map.
