The Gwishin is a mixed search map with puzzle elements by Sullus that rewards 0 FFA Points when completed. It is currently located in Mimic, as a new updated map exists for Hardcore called The Gwishin: Randomized.
General
Story
The player finds a note about a manor haunted by a Gwishin. They set out to weaken the ghost by performing a complicated ritual.
Gameplay
The map tasks the player with solving a complex logic puzzle by finding journals, items, bodies, and hint lecterns throughout the manor. There is a radar system that notifies players when they are near an item.
Aesthetics
The Gwishin takes place in a large manor made with polished blackstone walls, quartz ceilings, and dark oak flooring.
Events
The Gwishin was voted a runner-up for Map of the Year in 2021.
Hardcore
When The Gwishin was selected to be in Hardcore 12.0, it was decided that the map needed more randomization built into it. These changes led to the creation of an entirely separate map, The Gwishin: Randomized, which went into Hardcore. The original map became the Mimic for that map.
Trivia
- This map has a spiritual successor with extremely similar gameplay that is all-around easier: The Djinn.
