Persona is a pure puzzle map by Autre and pieceofcheese that rewards 0 FFA Points when completed. It is currently only accessible in Hardcore and Mimic.
General[edit]
Gameplay[edit]
Persona tasks the player with solving six puzzles to complete the map. These puzzles are randomized each playthrough, discouraging brute force to solve puzzles. Most puzzles are logic puzzles, though some delve into other types like geography and memory.
Aesthetics[edit]
The map takes place in several different lab rooms with a similar aesthetic: iron floors and ceilings with gray concrete powder in the walls. Rooms usually feature elements related to the puzzle in the center and decorative elements on the outer rim.
Hardcore[edit]
Persona was built due to a call for maps that would go into Hardcore 11.0. This map was one of the many chosen to be used for Hardcore, and was placed as the second map in the final section called The Gauntlet between Hel and Fissure (HC-14). It remained this way for Hardcore 11.1.
For Hardcore 12.0, Persona was used as one of the two map options in The Weave section after Freefall. Beating Persona in this iteration always leads to Construction.
Trivia[edit]
- This map is likely inspired by Iron Door, as it functions similarly to it with how puzzles are randomized.
- The geography puzzle type is likely inspired by one of pieceofcheese's previous maps, Where On Earth.
