Innsmouth is a mixed search map with parkour by Marrimars, Snake_Crumble, Anrein and Visuumii. It rewarded 12 FFA Points upon completion when it was located in FFA, and is now located in Hardcore.
General
Gameplay
Innsmouth takes place on a stormy night in a Lovecraftian fishing village under attack by a ferocious and otherworldly monster. A series of hidden runes scattered around the town and surrounding hills may be your only route to salvation.
Aesthetics
The houses consist of a mixture of deepslate/blackstone with spruce/dark oak plank trim and supports, along with some being made mainly out of dark oak planks. Exceptions to this can be found in the form of the church and lighthouse, which are made out of stone bricks and red and white concrete respectively. The monster itself is made mainly out of warped wart blocks with some dark prismarine and endstone for detail.
Challenges
Innsmouth is featured in three challenges: 2022 Assortment, They're Watching, and Hexa Chapter 3: New Heights.
Trivia
- This map was made as part of Minr MapJam 2022 over a period of 2 days
- Some minor touch-ups were done after MapJam to prep for the map's FFA release (we can't all be perfect)
- For a few hours before the group's time ran out for mapjam, the monster sported whiskers and cat ears (Me-wow!)
- Lightning may occasionally strike when the player picks up a rune
