General[edit]
Gameplay[edit]
The parkour in Wool Town involves parkouring on ladders and window ledges and even a cloud on a transition jump, the map is surprisingly short for a green map and is definitely the shortest green map on the whole of Minr. Wool Town is iconic because it is the lowest level difficulty map that has a cross neo. The rest of the jumps are pretty basic, but if you fall on most jumps, you have to restart the map completely.
Aesthetics[edit]
The block palette in Wool Town is very basic on purpose, using lots of stone bricks for roofs and window ledges, dark green wool used for grass, lime wool for bushes, and all the other colours of wool make up a tower in Wool Town, except for white wool, which is used for a cloud. The sky is also made out of dark blue wool. Lanterns are used throughout the map on towers and on the dark grey road. The only exception to the block pallette is inside of the final brown tower, with basic interior design.
Challenges[edit]
This map is featured in four challenges: 2015 Assortment, TULIP, Wul Warriors, and Hexa
Origin[edit]
Article written by Zatharel
Early History[edit]
Wool Town was originally planned to be a map called Magic Trampolines. The plan was to have 2 paths, a very long path with some fairly easy parkour and a short path with some fairly hard parkour. It was supposed to use potion effects, hence the name Magic Trampolines.
The Second Plan[edit]
After Magic Trampolines didn't work out, a new idea was born: World Hopper. The map was supposed to consist of 5 different stages or worlds. Basically, you were supposed to be able to teleport through worlds, hence "world hopper". During the work on World Hopper, another world was created. This world was firstly called "The Leaf World", but it was renamed to Jungle world later on.
Final Plan[edit]
The last major change Wool Town went through was the final plan. After World Hopper was canceled, Wool Town started to become what it is now - a town made of wool. The jungle was scrapped, but you can still see it when you finish the map as a supposed TV show on your home TV.
Other Notes[edit]
This is the first article made for a map that is below the yellow rating. There is no future development plan for Wool Town, it is already finished.
Trivia[edit]
- Wool Town is infamous for its cross-neo, a jump usually only found in orange maps and above.
- There is an old version of this map known as Wool Town: Retro, which you can join from when you spawn in Wool Town.
