Metal Harbor is a pure parkour map by Inexplicit. It rewards 7 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using "/join metl".

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

After escaping the prison cell, the player runs through a parkour gauntlet on metal platforms over water. If the player falls into the water at any point, they must die and restart the map.

The section at the end of the map on a rocket is timed. The player must get from the starting pad to a hole in the top that opens before time is up. Failing the timed section requires the player to hit the starting pressure plate again.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map is inspired by Metal Harbor from Sonic Adventure 2, and it is decorated in a similar way to the stage from that game. The parkour platforms use iron bars, iron blocks, orange wool, and stone brick slabs to resemble the orange platforms Sonic runs on. There are rockets, suspended canisters, and an aircraft carrier platform as well. Some intermission sections have platforms stylized to look like rings or badniks, while others are glass.

Challenges[edit]

The map is featured in 11 challenges: 2013 Assortment, Endurance Run, Harboring Doubt, Hexa #1 Practice Pack, Hexa Chapter I: Legacy, Hexa Killers, Odyssey, Pure Pain Marathon - Deluxe, Swept Downstream, The Path of Heroes, and Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • Metal Harbor is heavily inspired by the Sonic Adventure 2 stage of the same name.
  • Just before the aircraft carrier, the map has its biggest speedrun skip where the player can jump around the iron bars blocking the path to save time. This skip has not been patched due to being much harder and riskier than the normal route.
