Carpe Diem is a pure puzzle map by spolendina. It previously rewarded 2 FFA Points upon completion, but does not now as it is in the Valley.

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

Carpe Diem consists of puzzles relating to projectiles, mainly the bow and arrow. The first through third puzzles are straightforward and only require shooting arrows at certain buttons.

The fourth puzzle puts the player in a large room with a button to the side. Pressing this button causes explosive wither skeleton skulls to be launched towards the player, as well as opening the exit.

The fifth puzzle is a small minigame in which the player must fire arrows at minecarts by pressing buttons on dispensers. If a minecart isn’t destroyed in time, the floor beneath the player disappears and they fall into lava.

The final puzzle drops the player into a colorful room with four lava pits. One of the pits lead to the end, the others just kill the player.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map mostly uses darker blocks such as logs and gray wool. During the final puzzle, a whole new palette is used, with the room being made solely out of colorful wool blocks.

Challenges[edit]

This map is not featured in any challenges as it is in the Valley.

Trivia[edit]

  • The name Carpe Diem is a Latin term. It translates to seize the day.
