Kave Quest is a pure parkour map by Alphaesia. It rewards 2 FFA Points, and can be joined directly using "/join kqs".
General[edit]
Story[edit]
The player is a treasure hunter looking for the lost artifact El Creepo.
Gameplay[edit]
Kave Quest is a standard parkour map, with the main deviation being two slime jumps that appear early in the map. The main obstacle typically is the low ceiling, which can catch the player off guard on some jumps if they aren't careful. The map has a few intended speedrun skips, one of the biggest being a slime jump that skips an entire tunnel.
Most jumps in the map can be done without sprint, though it is strongly advised to use sprint for some sections. Only one jump is impossible without sprint: the 3x2-0.5 near the middle of the map. The most difficult sprintless jump otherwise is the 3bc 2+1 two thirds the way into the map, which requires a well-timed crouch near the apex of the jump.
Aesthetics[edit]
The starting area is open to an old growth pine taiga biome. The remainder of the map uses a cave aesthetic made of cobblestone, mossy cobblestone, stone bricks, mossy stone bricks, iron bars, cobblestone walls, water, and redstone torches. Glowstone is used behind several walls to light up the map.
El Creepo at the end of the map uses obsidian, gold, quartz, emerald, and redstone blocks.
Challenges[edit]
The map is in nine challenges: Cave Dweller, Going Up, Marathon, The Path of Heroes, 2016 Assortment, Easy Parkour Pack, Sightseeing 2021, Hexa Chapter I: Legacy, and Hexa.
Trivia[edit]
- The map contains two extra relics (player heads of Alphaesia and rmanimal) hidden in the parkour. Despite this, rman's head is accidentally hidden twice in the map.
