Wool Paradise is a pure parkour map by Bird_Obsession. It rewards 7 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join wopa”.

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

The player parkours through 6 levels, each with increasing difficulty. The first two sections are fields, the third and fifth are caves, the fourth is a snowy mountain, and the sixth is a beach.

The map, though having technical jumps at times, tries to be fair at all points, with no headhitter jumps (except easy ceiling jumps) in locations where falling meant restarting a section. Though the map contains a few 3+1 and quad jumps, the player is given ample momentum for all of them.

The fifth section has a unique mechanic to it. After the snowy mountain, the player enters a cave in which they are lowered to 1 heart (though a checkpoint is provided beforehand). They must perform a treacherous drop into water, then parkour back up the deep cave until they reach the exit.

Aesthetics[edit]

The entire map is made out of wool blocks (though there is the occasional other block for decoration or gameplay, such as the cobwebs coming out of a pipe, used to symbolize smoke). Atop the map, the player is given a view of the entire map, which they can roam around freely from a top-down perspective.

Challenges[edit]

This map is featured in three challenges: Intermediate Parkour Pack, Wul Warriors, and Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • Wool Paradise was inspired by Wool Garden, a moderate difficulty map by Sulldas.
  • The end of Wool Paradise (where the player can roam the top of the map freely) is inspired by Ember Island, a very hard difficulty map by AverageIPA.
