Infiltration is a pure-ish parkour map by Bird_Obsession. It rewards 4 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join ift”.

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

Infiltration consists of two distinct sections. The first half of the map consists of the player strategically crawling through small caves, as well as the overworld, by cutting around sharp corners, using pistons to open a path, and generally being keen on where to go. This section contains a mid-checkpoint halfway through, and is generally considered the most difficult section of the map.

Once the crawling section is completed and the second checkpoint is reached, the second section -- the final stretch -- is reached. The player must parkour around the outside of the map, going inside and out of the various houses the map provides.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map is set in a small village within a large, cuboid cave. The walls and ceiling are made out of stone variants and other gray blocks, such as cobblestone and cyan terracotta. The houses are mostly made out of spruce wood, with smooth stone slabs lining the roofs and outlines. Grass patches and grass paths line the floor, giving a more homey feeling.

Challenges[edit]

This map is featured in only one challenge: Hexa.

Trivia[edit]

  • Infiltration is the first map to integrate crawling parkour. While a few other maps, such as Speedrun Trials, have required the player to enter a crawling state, Infiltration is the first one to combine this mechanic with parkour.
  • Infiltration is located near many of Bird_Obsession's other builds. It is able to be seen from the top of Lookout, another map by Bird_Obsession.
  • Written on the outside of the build are large gold letters spelling out the map's name.
