Bingus was a pure parkour map by kor0sense1 and Viceinc that rewarded 18 FFA Points when completed. It was removed from FFA after release and can only be joined by Greens+ with "/join bing".

General[edit]

Story[edit]

Bingus has been kidnapped, and it is the player's job to save him.

Gameplay[edit]

The map tasks the player with completing 25 individual difficult jumps. Most jumps involve some form of neo. The only complex strategy any jump requires is a c4.5.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map takes place in 25 separate rooms. The aesthetic of some rooms is similar, but most areas frequently change the design of the rooms between jumps.

History[edit]

After being published to FFA, the map received complaints about not following the rule that red and black maps need to have aesthetics halfway to FFA+ quality. This prompted Board to pull Bingus back onto Board four days after it was published. They gave the creators three options: the map could go to the Summit, be nerfed to orange, or receive aesthetic improvements. While some changes were made as the map was on Board, the creators ultimately decided to abandon the map. The situation was not seen favorably by the wider community.

Several years later, a spiritual successor was made to Bingus called Bingus' Revenge. The storyline of that map is a jab at how the Board process for Bingus went, with Bingus capturing all of the Board leaders.

Trivia[edit]

  • While it was published as a red map, due to nerfs the map is likely closer to orange difficulty.
