Uluru is an adventure map by _dx_. It rewards 18 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join ulu".

General

Uluru is one of the largest sacred sites of the Yankunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara people, the traditional landowners on Anangu land - one of the 250+ Indigenous nations before the colonisation of Australia in the 1800s. This map aims to give players an insight into the oldest living cultures in the world today, and understand the challenges Indigenous people in Australia face to this day.

Gameplay

The map incorporates different game types; Parkour, Maze, Search, Puzzle and No-Sprint Parkour as well. The challenges are of varying difficulty, however, the parkour can be described as the most challenging aspect of the map. Players in the middle of the map are then invited to explore an open-world area where they solve challenges to collect the 3 coloured dyes that form the colours of the flag of Indigenous Australia.

Aesthetics

Uluru itself is the monolith structure of rock that formed thousands of years ago, which has returned to a status of being a respected sacred site where tourists and visitors are no longer allowed to degrade the site by walking on top of it. The overall map incorporates a red theme, representing the red sand of the Indigenous nations, and a large creature in the sky alludes to the Dreamtime stories that underpin one of the fundamental strengths of Indigenous cultures - storytelling.

Challenges

This map is featured in only one challenge: Hexa.
