Misty Village is a mixed search map by Bird_Obsession. It rewards 7 [[Points|FFA Points]] upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join mist”.

== General ==
=== Gameplay ===
In Misty Village, the player must wander the mazelike town in search of all 30 Rain Orbs. Though none of the Rain Orbs are necessarily tough to locate, the map is difficult to complete as many important areas are tough to find.

Throughout the map are various NPCs and lecterns. Though most of them are there to provide atmosphere and lore, a few of them contain vague hints that may help the player discover the path to important locations.

=== Aesthetics ===
The map takes on a cyan color scheme. The houses are made out of prismarine variants and warped planks, while the surrounding ground uses a texture of grass blocks, dark prismarine, mycelium, and spruce planks. The map is set in a region in which it always rains, matching the misty theme.

Every area within the map contains unique and complex aesthetics, helping to build Misty Village's immersion. Additionally, players are recommended to set their render distance to 3, creating a fog, or mist, effect.

== Trivia ==
*Misty Village's creation was started long before its eventual release. It sat abandoned for several months before Bird_Obsession decided to pick it up and finish it.

*Misty Village went through many large changes during its development. At first, it was planned to be a maze. The vision soon changed to adventure, as Bird_Obsession wanted to add search and parkour to the map. After dropping the map and picking it back up months later, Misty Village was updated to be a search map, inspired by other such maps such as [[Back to Bonneton]] and [[Polar Station]].

*The map contains several Pokemon easter eggs.
**An NPC named Brock appears on one of the roofs. His dialogue references one of his most infamous lines from the first Pokemon movie: "I'll use my trusty frying pan as a drying pan!"
**The Rain Orbs take the appearance of a Water Energy from the Pokemon Trading Card Game.
**There are player heads taking the appearance of certain Pokemon, being Starly, Polywag, Fletchling, and Swablu.
***The Swablu head appears in nearly all of Bird_Obsession's maps. This is because it is the pre-evolved form of his favorite Pokemon, Altaria.
