With the ever increasing number of courses and the introduction of new standards of quality the mazes, parkours, and puzzles of zero has gained the server a long lasting position as the number one challenge course server. But good builders alone does not bring about such attention. The advertising campaigns across several minecraft communities, including the unofficial official forums and reddit, have done wonders in attracting new players. But word of finger alone only goes so far. For many people, it was the videos of zero they found on YouTube that gave them the main draw in. With over 700 videos depicting the server to date, it is easy to see how much of an impact videos have had on the traffic of zero.

One of the first members of minr to recognize the potential impact of YouTube on the server, Chillers has created videos specifically aimed at showing off some of the attractions of zero to pull in new players. Along with his other projects, tek.minr.org and the new forum system, Chillers has proven to be one of the most active members in building upon the community. While he spends a lot of the time he is on zero trolling random people, he is always there to help when he can.

After a rough start on zero, yeroc has done much in the way of innovation. From his course concepts that pushed the involvement of redstone in the mechanics courses further than it had been previously, to his work as co-course admin in improving course definition, quality, and presentation, yeroc has more than overwritten the image of a minecraft klutz he had earned by crashing the server with pistons. With YouTube as a showcase for his projects both within and outside of minecraft, yeroc has shown a strong creative side despite the steriotype of technical people being bland.

A silent but friendly op, srentiln is often found working on his courses or stalking people in courses. Looking to help normal members of the minr community understand how busy the staff of zero actually was every time they logged on, he sought to start a series on YouTube depicting the behind the scenes happenings that came with the role. However, a seasonal drop in server traffic coupled with the NoCheat plugin being bugged at the time undermined the idea, leading to a switch to a short lived series of tours of different areas players could visit once they had reached the appropriate rank. Several failed recording sessions lead to a spreading out to other series.

Some of the best word-of-mouth advertising of the server has come from random people. Everything from server tours to people trying to prove themselves as parkour pros has been a huge help in getting the word out there. As the server and community grow, the possibilities for more content does as well.
