Hollow is a pure parkour map by Viceinc and Vermilion_Stone. It rewards 7 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join hlw”.

General

Story

In Hollow, the player is a squirrel that is chased by a bear after gathering nuts. The squirrel (the player) then climbs a tree in an attempt to escape the bear.

Gameplay

The map starts out in three cutscene boxes detailing the situation of the map. Afterwards, the player is teleported to a large spruce tree with the first checkpoint and must jump across lily pads and stone pillars to reach the inside of the tree. After going out and then back in, the player comes out of the tree once more and reaches the second checkpoint. The second checkpoint mostly consists of jumps outside of the tree, but after two slime jumps, the player reaches a beehive. The beehive leads to a bird nest, involving a tricky slime jump to the third and final checkpoint. The player once more reaches the outside of the tree. Several slime jumps occur throughout this checkpoint, but after nearing the end, the player must complete one fail-safed jump before reaching the top and finishing the map.

Aesthetics

The first cutscene boxes mostly consist of stripped spruce logs/, with spruce trees or stony structures filling them. The main tree trunk is mostly made of dark oak, with leaves of mostly azalea. The surrounding landscape is a grassy area with bushes that have grown over small stone structures. Surrounding this is a small stony cliff with several different stone block types. Also in the area is a pond with a river leading through the tree and out of the map.

Trivia

  • Due to Viceinc's skin (a bear), the armour stand at the end representing Viceinc, when clicked, assures that player that he won't eat the player.
