General
Story
"You have woken up in a strange place. Not knowing where you are you decide to explore." The opening lines of the map setup the adventure through the decrepit dungeons through the portal into the futuristic library.
Gameplay
The Gameplay of this map is basic parkour elements, using jumps that were relatively new at the time to create a challenging experience. Neos, head hitters, and ladder grabbing jumps are abound in this map as you go from dungeon to distant future in the main area of the map, being the expansive quartz library. From vines to shelves, this map has some tricky parkour
Aesthetics
Due to being a map in a time with limit block options, this maps simple aesthesis work to create the feeling of dread and adventure in the derelict dungeons. Vines and Mossy Stone/Cobblestone blocks are used to show age, and lend to the vast shift when climbing the stairs and entering the portal to see the gorgeous library. Within this expansive book palace lies gaps in the shelves, and a quartz pillar in the center.
Challenges
This map is featured in three different challenges: Rivers Run Red, 2013 Assortment, and Hexa
Trivia
This is one of the earliest examples of difficult and tight life or death parkour on the server, with it even including the first ne-up!
