Rainbow Madhouse was, on release, a pure maze map by eagg2112 that rewarded 7 FFA Points when completed. After being pulled for a rework, it was later re-submitted to Board as a mixed search map with maze elements by the same creator estimated to be around Very Hard difficulty. Players above Green rank can use "/join rain" to join the map directly.

General[edit]

Gameplay[edit]

The original version of the map was a maze through the house which tasks players with getting to a specific end room. The reworked version of the map requires players to find 100 coins to beat the map, with some coin thresholds unlocking different abilities that let players access new areas of the mansion.

Aesthetics[edit]

The map takes place in a giant multi-colored house which uses rainbow colors for most of the blocks. Different sections of the mansion typically use different hues, but most areas use quartz and colored concrete blocks in some way.

Related Maps[edit]

For Hardcore 12.0, staff decided to use the original version of Rainbow Madhouse as the second map in the rotation. Since the original creator was submitting a rework to Board around that time, a copy of the original was made to be used in Hardcore called Rainbow Madhouse (Original). The original version of the map is also what is used for the Mimic.

Trivia[edit]

  • Rainbow Madhouse received both updated aesthetics and entirely new sections of the mansion as part of the 2025 rework.
  • Rainbow Madhouse is not the only map to receive a different version specifically for Hardcore. The Gwishin: Randomized was also created as a result of Hardcore 12.0.
