The story of Woodlands has the galactic representative, Grawlot, employ the player to find five seeds among the forest trails of Silva Forest as part of a conservation group. The player, called traveler by the citizens, can interact with NPC's to view dialogue that will reveal lore about Logsil.

=== Gameplay ===
Woodlands tasks the player with finding five seeds among the trails of Silva Forest. Each seed is located in one generalized area, indicated by the fully grown vegetation and an NPC near the defined area. These areas are hidden within the trails of the forest, designed as a 2D maze. Once the player collects all five seeds, the player returns to the starting point and places the seeds inside the appropriate bag. Once all five bags are filled, the player can enter into the seed storage area where the end sign is located. A book is given to the player after talking with the starting NPC, Grawlot, that will help them keep track of all of the information.

=== Aesthetics ===
Woodlands takes place on a spruce forest planet. The forest is surrounded by large stone walls with spruce trees along the tops. Grass, azure bluet, and bushes made from dark oak leaves and spruce leaves dot the trails. The trails are created from spruce wood, path blocks, coarse dirt, and podzol. Spruce buttons accent the paths.
