In the past, nine wise men gave the King of Valkestria runes to cure a plague affecting the kingdom. These runes were one day stolen without a trace, and are rumored to be spread around Valkestria Valley. The player is an investigator sent by the king to find the runes.

The map begins with a room containing the story and mechanics of the map. The player is then sent to Valkestria Valley to find the runes.

=== Aesthetics ===
The map takes place in a small valley with gray walls and massively overgrown grass. There is a small pond with a waterfall and cattails in it, and several dark oak trees dot the landscape. There is one house in the valley, Walt Henley's hut, that has a stone base, brown and orange walls and interior, and a dark oak roof with a cobbled deepslate trim.
