The Great Race 3 is a long map that allows for racing against a friend in (mostly) mirrored rooms. There are seven Legs in total, with the last Leg functioning as the credits room. Unlike previous maps in its series, several sections feature effect parkour, especially Leg 3 and Leg 5 which use Speed VI. Some areas also have alternate routes that are slower but safer or skip entire rooms.

=== Aesthetics ===
The map uses different aesthetics for each of the Legs.
* Leg 1 takes place in a cave with lava.
* Leg 2 takes place in a valley with a dark oak forest and an acacia savannah.
* Leg 3 and Leg 5 are in obsidian hallways with a spiral and platforms that are made of different stained glass colors.
* Leg 4 takes place in the nether and runs through a modified nether fortress.
* Leg 6 is a throwback to [[The Great Race I]]'s aesthetics, featuring colored terracotta platforms in glass boxes with glowstone.
