Dragonfruit Maze is a pure maze [[Maps|map]] by Alphaesia, Visuumii, and rmanimal. It rewards 18 [[Points|FFA Points]] on completion, and the map can be join directly using "/join dgfmz".

== General ==
=== Story ===
A realm led by a Chief Architect buried a dragonfruit with the architect when they died. A blight later ravaged the place, killing off all other dragonfruit plants. The player thinks the fruit buried with the Chief Architect might be the last, and they need to taste it once more.

=== Gameplay ===
The player must navigate the mausoleum maze to beat the map. The maze is intentionally designed to be as confusing as possible.

=== Aesthetics ===
The map has a short intro area explaining the lore of the map made of terracotta scenes. The player then walks up the steps to the mausoleum with a dark forest around them.

The maze section of the map is made of deepslates, sculk, soul sand and soil, cobwebs, soul lanterns with chains, and iron bars. The transitions between floors of the maze use polished blackstone and mob spawners.

== Challenges ==
This map is featured in two [[challenges]]: 2024 Assortment and Hexa.

== Trivia ==
* The maze design of the map was finished several years before the map's final release by Alphaesia and rmanimal. Progress stalled, however, as neither of them knew how to make the aesthetics of the map. Alphaesia eventually enlisted Visuumii's help, and those two built the remainder of the map.
* Dragonfruit maze was meant to be part of a larger map that involved 8 different sections. The scale of the project was eventually cut down a few years later.
