In Aether, you play the role of an adventurer who explores the remnants of a remote jungle civilization, hoping to find out why the population disappeared.

=== Gameplay ===

This map sees players passing through many varied environments as they find their way into the temple at the heart of the ruined civilization. As is typical for an adventure map, the gameplay consists of a combination of parkour, maze, puzzle, and search segments. Most sections are not particularly technical, but require substantial endurance and care in order to avoid death and not run out of food.

=== Aesthetics ===

The aesthetic of this map varies widely, with most sections having their own distinct looks. It begins with a tropical outdoor section surrounded by cliffs, with lush plant and animal life. The next sections are in a series of caves, eventually ascending to a large overgrown temple, built largely of stone and glass, with leaf blocks and vines extending up the walls. The later parts of the map take place in the Nether, inside and around a large cyan temple surrounded by high cliff walls.

This map is currently being used in [[Hardcore#Version 11.1|Hardcore 11.1]], so it isn't featured in any challenges.
