General
Story
The player wakes up after having been kidnapped by some nefarious evildoers, who plan on blowing up a respectable place of business. They must parkour to the top of the building to catch them and put a stop to their plan.

Gameplay
The map begins with a simple dropper, where the player falls from near the top of the building into a fountain in the lobby. Once safely on the ground, the player must utilize several piles of TNT to make their way upwards. Starting from the second floor, they must also parkour on the outside of the building, which often poses risk of falling to their deaths. The middle section of the map brings the player back into the building, where they must find a path upwards. Once they have ascended the final set of stairs, the player must complete one final section of parkour to bring them to the summit of the building.

Aesthetics
'Napped takes place in a large office building constructed from obsidian, glass, and lapis blocks. The obsidian serves as flooring throughout, while the glass makes up the large, continuous windows for the high-rise. Several portions of the building are made to resemble having explosive damage done to it, so there are large holes and collapsed ceilings at parts. Inside the office proper, there is an assortment of oak wood which is used as office equipment. The map also has large quantities of TNT lying around, both inside and outside the building.

Aesthetics
This island mostly consists of textured and hellish environments. From the outdoor lava pools and stone/magma walls, to the inside caverns, this map expresses a general nether theme. It has other small aesthetics, such as mushrooms and nether wart on the ground, as well as both regular and coarse dirt. Upon completing the map, the player is able to see the map from a bird's eye view.

General
Gameplay
Calamity is split into two distinct sections. The player spawns in an abandoned house where they are able to enter the first maze: a three block wide trek around ruined city walls to find a door, as well as how to open it. This maze is the easiest section in the map, as well as the least time consuming.

The second section of the map is made up of tall skyscraper-esque buildings and smaller hedge mazes encompassing the outside of the map. This section, being as massive as it is, takes a long time to complete. However, the path is somewhat straightforward, lowering the difficulty by a small margin.

Once the player completes the map, they are able to click the end sign, or set an optional checkpoint allowing them to explore the map from a new perspective.

Aesthetics
The entire map is located above bedrock level in the nether. It mainly uses a gray and green palette, with both shades of nether brick thrown in for extra variety. The main textures used are stone variants, notably stone brick.

The interiors of the buildings are all meant to appear unique. No two rooms have the same detail and design, adding to the complexity of the map's aesthetics.
Hel is a mixed parkour map by Zatharel. It would reward 7 FFA Points upon completion, but it’s currently being used in Hardcore 11.1, so it can’t be accessed directly, nor does it give points.
General
Gameplay
The gameplay in Hel is very fluent, Hel is full of life or death jumps, with the map being directly above the void, if the player falls jumping from platform to platform, they will fall to their inevitable death. After the parkour element of the map, the player has to complete a puzzle that involves stepping on the correct pressure plate to progress. In the final room, the player has to search for the correct way to go to finish the map.

Aesthetics
Hel is set in a very large and open cave, with a floating island in the middle with a small nether brick castle and a floating purple crystal above it. Most of the platforms around the map are made out of obsidian & coal blocks with purple glass in the middle with a lantern beneath it to create a dim-lit hellish atmosphere. A few of the other islands have broken down bits of the netherrack castle and are made out of slabs, fences, and stairs. In the final room, the player is put into a room that is very contrasting to the block palette of the main room, with very bright wool colours with a much more colourful palette being used.

Challenges
This map is currently being used in Hardcore 11.1, so it isn't featured in any challenges.

Trivia
*Hel was the first map Zatharel made as a mod, the map was built without using the fly command, meaning there were glass platforms all over the map every 4 blocks.
*The map is inspired by the Norse goddess Hel, while the colors themselves are borrowed from the character in the video game SMITE.
*This map was previously featured in Hardcore 9.0 and Hardcore 10.2.
Broadway is a mixed puzzle map with search by Autre. It rewards 17 total FFA Points upon full completion, and the map hub can be joined directly using “/c join bwy”.

General
Story
The story of Broadway has the player rise to acting fame!

Gameplay
Broadway is a text based puzzle based on acting and also has a standard puzzle/search component. Broadway is split into two main segments in each level. The first part is the backstage portion. The player will complete short puzzles and search for their script in order to get their costume. Once the player has their costume, they can proceed to the onstage portion. The onstage portion has the player answer chat prompts with correct spelling, punctuation and capitalization under a time limit in order to complete the level. Prior to each stage portion, the player will go to Austin Productions, an acting workshop business that can teach the player how to use the game mechanics as well as unique game mechanics that apply only to certain levels. Broadway is split into seven levels, each getting more complex as the player completes them. The player has access to all seven levels inside the hub, but it is recommended the player completes the maps in order. The levels are as follows,
* Broadway: Charlotte's Web (bcha) - 1 FFA Point
* Broadway: Alice in Wonderland (bali) - 1 FFA Point
* Broadway: The Matchmaker (bmat) - 2 FFA Point
* Broadway: Pygmalion (bpyg) - 2 FFA Points
* Broadway: Lady From The Sea (blad) - 4 FFA Points
* Broadway: The Crucible (bcru) - 4 FFA Points
* Broadway: A Midsummer Night's Dream (bmid) - 7 FFA Points

Upon completing all the levels, the player can access a short epilogue and is rewarded a completion for Broadway.

Aesthetics
The player begins in a black concrete room with dioramas of each play. Austin Productions is made primarily from birch variants, a dance studio and a costume/prop room is located on either side of the building. The first theater, The Blackbox Theater, is constructed mostly from black blocks such as coal, black wool and black concrete powder. Backstage dressing rooms are made from brick, quartz and birch. The second theater, The Spruceman Theater, is constructed mostly from gray terracotta and spruce wood variants. Spruce trapdoors accent the walls. The third theater, The Sandboss Theater, is constructed mostly using sandstone and oak wood variants. The final theater, The Otterman Theater, is constructed mostly from nether brick, coal blocks, quartz, and gray terracotta. Each theater, as the player progresses, gets larger and more complex for the player to explore.

Challenges
This map is featured in 2 challenges: Rise to Stardom and Hexa

Trivia
*Broadway was submitted for PuzzleComp 2020, placing 6th.
*Broadway used to have each level part of one, longer map. This was changed as the map was seen as more endurance based rather than focused on the gameplay.

General
This map has many sections and is very long. This is the longest yellow map on the server.
Story
The player wakes up to go to school but then gets lost in his dreams of a prison that he is "escaping from" consisting of multiple prisons and dream sequences with a nether theme. There is a girl that he is following and trying to save from the people that are creating these dreams and visions of prison. As time passes he lands in a distant camp and traverses ice and comes to a castle where he finally confronts all that he faced as scales the tower after one last outside nether section.
Gameplay
The map begins with parkour on crafting tables and various blocks after a short story sequence followed by a car story then entering the school and checkpoints 1 and 2 are in a nether section of simple parkour with some soul sand and ladder jumps in the nether brick part. Then checkpoint 3 is only for the story path and contains no substantial gameplay so can be skipped. Checkpoints 4 and 5 are after much time passes and the prison becomes infested with moss in checkpoint 4 there are normal jumps than in checkpoint 5 there are normal jumps, 2-1 head hitter, ladder catches, and ladder jumps with one head hitter in the cave. In checkpoint 6 you start in the camp and there are one hard 4 blocks back walled or head hitter at the start of the checkpoint with jumps consisting of minimal strafing afterward then you come to an ice section with many normal jumps on ice. Checkpoint 7 starts with a short underwater maze but is too short to be considered enough to make it mixed then you go to an underground section with some long jumps, ice jumps, and strafe jumps. Afterward, you enter the castle which has a section with normal jumps then a head hitter and 2-1 head hitter then you ascend a tower with some head hitter and jumps with a block in the middle that could impede momentum, finally you do short normal parkour over lava to get to checkpoint 8. In checkpoint 8 you go through the castle inside which has normal jumps, head hitters(some with ice), ladder jumps(some around a corner), strafe jumps, and not failsafe jumps(in the towers and middle of areas) there is also a short section where you quickly have to use levers so that you can make it through a trapdoor with slight jumps. In checkpoint 9 you do normal jumps, soul sand jumps, and magma block jumps then ascend a tower with ladder corner jumps, normal jumps, and strafe jumps.

Aesthetics
Breaking free 2 takes place in various prisons the main parkour one having mossy look with cracked walls and a stone brick pallet including also leaves. At the start, there is a school and there is also a gym and outside. Nether sections near the start and end. Overall looks very good is thematic with the sections.

Challenges
This map is featured in 2 challenges: 2019 Assortment, and Hexa.

Outpost is a pure parkour map by henniboy321 and Zatharel. It rewards 25 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join out”.

General
Gameplay
Outpost consists of multiple sections. When the player enters the map, they take a short path to the beginning of the parkour, where they must jump across trees and raised platforms, often times being required to use vines in awkward ways to progress. About halfway through this section, the player is given a choice between two paths: One is longer but with easier jumps, and the other being shorter with much more difficult jumps.

The player is then dropped into a lengthy section that involves parkouring through an abandoned mine. 3+0.5 jumps are numerous here, so the player must be careful if they do not wish to fall. The map's first checkpoint is located within this mine.

After escaping the mine, the player finds themself within the castle. The castle consists of many short but difficult sections, where many difficult neo jumps are present. Once the player reaches the top of the castle, they must jump across birds to reach the next checkpoint. Falling off these birds results in having to restart the entire checkpoint over.

The player then finds themselves in what is considered the most difficult section in the map. The player must jump between trees on raised Jungle wood platforms, often having to enter the trees and complete very difficult jumps. Many points along the way are very punishing, forcing the player to restart from the checkpoint if they fall.

The final section consists of easier parkour through a house and its yard, where at almost no point can the player miss a jump and have to restart from the checkpoint. This easy section ends once the final jump of the map is reached, however, the player must complete what is known as one of the most precise jumps possible: a triple neo. There is no punishment for failing this jump, but the player cannot progress until it is completed.

Aesthetics
Outpost takes place in a massive valley split into multiple areas. The lower area of the map, where the player begins, is a more natural setting, with the only structures being platforms made out of jungle wood and oak fences.

Platforms within the mine section are made out of various types of wood blocks, slabs, and fences: oak, jungle, and birch. The walls are made out of several stone variants, such as ores.

The castle is made to look overrun by vegetation. Therefore, leaf blocks are common within. The rest of the walls are made of gray blocks such as stone bricks.

Many structures the player runs through near the end of the map are made out of birch and oak plank variants.

Challenges
This map is featured in seven challenges: Outlandish Love, Insane Parkour Pack, Trials of Herobrine, TULIP, 2017 Assortment, The Path of Heroes, and Hexa.

Trivia
*Outpost was the first Black difficulty map to be put into FFA+, and was the only one until Rapture made it as well.
*Outpost was the only map currently in FFA to use a Triple Neo jump until Ice Age was released two years later.

4 Corners Dojo is a mixed parkour by Ajdj123321. It rewards 12 FFA Points upon completion, and can be joined directly using “/c join 4cd”.

General
Gameplay
The map is divided up into 4 different corners, each of which has varying mechanics. The first corner focuses on simple parkour, and all of the jumps can be done without sprinting. The second corner is much more difficult and has tight jumps on and around fences. There is also fire and lava present, so there is a very real threat of death present. The third corner consists of a door maze with 5 levels, with wrong doors leading to a drop into a small, traditional maze. The final corner is a difficult riddle set in a graveyard which kills the player if they answer wrong.

Aesthetics
Each corner of the map has a different aesthetic. The first corner of the dojo is made of wooden fences and blocks and features grassy plains on the outside. The second corner contains nether brick fences and blocks and has an infernal landscape surrounding it. The third corner is built from sandstone and is surrounded by an arid desert. The final corner is built out of stone bricks but is inaccessible until after solving the riddle. The outside is made to resemble a graveyard, with dozens of headstones jutting up from the ground.

Origin
Original article written by Ajdj123321

4 Corners was originally going to focus on four separate city-esque sections, and you would perform something for each one of them. After allocating space and laying out basic outlines I realized that there was not enough space to do what I wanted. I instead re-shifted the focus to being four trials. In May of 2012, 4 Corners was published and featured 2 segments of parkour and 2 maze sections.

However, as time passed, standards rose. FFA+ was launched and the server had begun to shift towards higher quality. I then realized that there wasn't too much that separated it from the normal courses. The course was closed for 6 weeks as the parkour segments were reconstructed, and the second maze turned into a riddle. The course re-opened in October 2013. Shortly after it was nominated and accepted into FFA+. The parkour segments that were formerly floating blocks were replaced with twisting and shifting platforms, forcing players to actively look for where the next jump is.

In hindsight, a lot of the trials in 4 Corners were inspired by the original HC. Both are structured as many trials strung together, and both require a mastery of parkour and mental sharpness. The mastery comes from the difficulty of the first two corners where jumps aren't always seen and must be searched for. The mental ability comes from the complex door maze and challenging riddle.
