Blight is a Puzzle map by Bailey06 and spolendina. It rewards 18 FFA points upon completion, and can be joined directly using "/c join bli".

General
Story
A strange incident finds you teleported against your will to a long-abandoned and forgotten village devastated by the "Blight". Upon your arrival, a witch (the last of the village's inhabitants) informs you that the Blight - a disease which rapidly spread through the town and killed everyone - was caused by a spell gone wrong, cast by a novice witch.

After the devastation caused by the spell and the ensuing Blight, the witches' coven (named "The Ravens") decided to lock the sources of their magic behind complex contraptions before sealing the town up to prevent the Blight from spreading.

The Witch sets you the task of unlocking each contraption and releasing the magic so the souls of her long-dead sisters may be laid to rest. Only when this is completed can she open a portal to bring you home.

Gameplay
Blight consists of fifteen puzzles of varying difficulty and type. The player can explore the entire village however they wish, but more challenging puzzles are gated behind the "mana" system. Players must complete easier puzzles to gain mana and unlock their harder counterparts.

The puzzles themselves vary greatly, from logic-based to movement-based puzzles. When the player has completed all fifteen, they can unlock the ending and complete the map. Upon completing a puzzle, the player unlocks a room containing a purple "mana orb." Interacting with this orb grants them a predetermined amount of mana, allowing them to access more puzzles.

The player can also explore the village and read optional lore. Each puzzle contains a lore book, each of which forms part of an account that describes the town's downfall. These books also give insight into the lives of the town's inhabitants and its politics,
along with the events following the Blight's inception.

The beginning and end of the map feature cutscenes that explain the map's context and what happens after you complete it.

Aesthetics
Blight takes place inside a huge cylinder, topped with a glass dome that allows the moon to shine onto the inside. Principally, the map is split into three layers; the caves, the village, and the islands, constructed vertically upon each other. The town and caves are divided in two, with a canyon separating them into halves. The canyon floor features a river running the length of the cylinder, which allows the player to cross between the two halves from the ground. The player can also traverse multiple bridges spanning the two sides. Above float the islands, and underground lie the caves. Across the whole map, dead bodies are scattered, along with skulls and blood.

The caves are dense with foliage and growth, and the two cave systems feature three puzzles each. They have an industrial setting, focusing on blocks like rails, cauldrons, crafting tables, anvils, and TNT. The tunnels are populated with hanging leaves, vines, mushrooms, and pumpkins.

The second layer, the village, features many houses and other buildings, such as watchtowers and a church, all connected by paths. The houses are largely crumbled, and the entire area is dense with overgrowth and trees. Each side of the village features three puzzles.

The final layer, the islands, can be reached by climbing a ladder that hangs down from one of the islands. The aesthetics remain similar to the village, featuring a tower, an open-air library, and an armoury. Bridges connect each island. The islands feature three puzzles, including the
final one.

From the cylinder walls hang many thick vines, lights, and odd structures; built into the walls are large glass veins that illuminate the map with lava lying behind them.

Challenges
Blight is featured in 1 challenge: Hexa.

Trivia
*Blight was initially intended to be submitted for Puzzlecomp 2020 but was not completed until early 2021.

*Blight's cylindrical design is due to the map's constraints within the Puzzlecomp 2020 building area, wanting to preserve immersion.

*The map has several optional secret areas.

*Blight won the 2021 Map of the Year award.
FFA+
Main Article: FFA+

FFA+ is another map classification meant to give spotlight to maps which are of exceptional quality and as such should be given better treatment than other maps classified FFA. The FFA+ maps are voted for by Greens+ in FFA+ ballots, which take place after a notable quantity of maps has been published. A complete list of all maps in FFA+ can be found here.
Ballots
FFA+ ballots are hosted every so often, usually by a server Admin. The ballot consists of two phases: nomination and voting.

During the nomination phase, ballot participants nominate maps they believe should be entered into FFA+. Any FFA classified map can be nominated, but a participant cannot nominate their own map(s), or map(s) that they've worked on significantly. Exceptions may be made for Community Projects, as they are usually made by over 5 people at a time. Each map may be nominated by more than one user -- this indicates these maps are popular choices for FFA+. Maps that have at least a distinct interest in nominations go to the next phase, which is voting.

During voting, participants vote either Yes, Neutral, or No for whether the maps nominated should be classified FFA+. Participants cannot vote Yes or No on their own maps and must instead vote Neutral. Maps that receive over a certain percentage of positive votes (usually around 60%-80%) will become FFA+ classified.

Board
Review Process
Firstly, maps are submitted on the forums for tracking purposes. This post includes checkpoint coordinates, the map name, its authors and similar.

When a player submits a map, they are expected to have already had the start, mid (if any), and end checkpoints already setup, and a region setup protecting the map with proper flags set. Once the map is confirmed to have all of these, a Board member sets the map to "On Board". At this point, all green+ players have the ability to leave reviews and comment on the map. This also opens up the map to reviews from members of The Board. The Board is composed of players that are devoted to reviewing maps and have a good grasp on what standards maps need to meet to get published. Once a board member reviews the map, one of three things happens:
* If the Board member thinks that the map is ready, they apply the prefix "Nominated". At this point, another board member needs to review the map. If they also agree that the map is ready for publishing, they apply the prefix "Published" and it becomes published as a full map on the server.
* If the Board member sees that there are some definite areas for improvement or any bugs and/or escapes, the prefix is to "Altering". When this happens, greens are still allowed to review the map, but the map creator is meant to make any changes that need to happen. If the map creator changes the map to an acceptable standard, a Board member changes the prefix to "Nominated" and will require another member to agree so that the map can be published.
* If the Board member thinks that the map will require substantial changes to make it acceptable, they apply the prefix "Reworking", and the creator must work on the map more to have its status changed back to "On Board".
* If the creator fails multiple times to fulfill the changes that board reviews lay out for them, especially after the map is given a "Reworking" tag, then the map is set to "Denied", and is not to be submitted again until a significant amount of work is done on the map.

Boundary Maps
When a map is set to be published, its difficulty is decided by looking at a group of set maps, known as boundary maps.

Parkour
Upper White: Mystic Cavern

Upper Blue: Athenai

Upper Green: Shroomville

Upper Yellow: Time Lab

Upper Orange: The Core

Upper Red: Psyche

Maze
Upper White: Fire & Ice Maze

Upper Blue: PrisMaze

Upper Green: Clocktower

Upper Yellow: Spectrum

Upper Orange: Duat

Upper Red: N/A

Puzzle
There are no set boundary maps for Puzzles, as they are more subjective than parkour or mazes.

Adventure
There are no set boundary maps for Adventures, as there is a limited number of them and are often more subjective.
There are no set boundary maps for Adventures, as there is a limited number of them and are often more subjective.
FFA stands for Free For All. It is a label representing most of the server's maps. It is named as a counterpart to Hardcore; where maps in Hardcore can only be played by blues, maps in the FFA are open to all (free, for all). Formerly located in the FFA Airship, the FFA currently resides in Frozen Spawn as part of the plan to unify it and the FFA in one area.

Areas
This page only refers to the individual areas of FFA. For the definitions of the types of maps in each room, see Map Elements (Types).
Pure Parkour
The Pure Parkour room is located on the left side of the parkour side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the pure parkour map category. Pure parkours can be streamed and recorded freely.
Mixed Parkour
The Mixed Parkour room is located on the right side of the parkour side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the mixed parkour map category, meaning the maps may include mazes, puzzles or other challenge types. The parkour sections can be streamed and recorded freely, but not maze or puzzle areas of these maps.
Pure Mazes
The Pure Maze room is located on the left side of the maze side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the pure maze map category. Pure mazes can NOT be streamed and recorded. Doing so is a ban-able offense and will not be tolerated.
Mixed Mazes
The Mixed Maze room is located on the right side of the maze side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the mixed maze map category, meaning the maps may include parkours, puzzles or other challenge types. Mixed mazes can NOT be streamed and recorded. Doing so is a ban-able offense and will not be tolerated.
Pure Puzzles
The Puzzles room is located on the left side of the puzzle side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the puzzle (pure map category. Puzzles can NOT be streamed and recorded. Doing so is a ban-able offense and will not be tolerated.
Mixed Puzzles (and searches)
The Mixed Puzzle room is located on the right side of the puzzle side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the mixed puzzle map category, meaning the maps may include parkour, search or other challenge types. Mixed puzzles and searches can NOT be streamed and recorded. Doing so is a ban-able offense and will not be tolerated.
Adventure Maps
The Adventure Maps room is located on the left side of the Adventure side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the adventure map category. Non-parkour elements of Adventure Maps can NOT be streamed or recorded. Doing so is a ban-able offense and will not be tolerated.
Co-op Maps
The Co-op Maps room is located on the right side of the Adventure side of spawn. It contains maps of various difficulties that fit into the co-op map category. Co-op maps require multiple players to complete, and none can be completed solo. Non-parkour elements of Co-op Maps can NOT be streamed or recorded. Doing so is a ban-able offense and will not be tolerated.
Challenges
Challenges can be found in the Challenges corner at spawn. It includes every challenge on the server.

Map Elements are different features maps have that are common enough to be identifiable as a type of map.

Main Challenge Types
Main Challenge Types are the Map Elements that are good enough to create a Board passing map for.
Parkour
Parkour is a main challenge type, as it is the most common challenge type we have on zero! Parkour consists of getting from A to B using a path that presents physical difficulty or danger to cross.

Pure Parkour
If a map is "pure parkour" it means the map only consists of the parkour challenge type.
Maze
Maze is another main challenge type. Mazes are challenges of navigation through a series of branching paths. Most paths do not lead to the exit. Mazes typically allow you to backtrack, even if you find a dead-end. Mazes can be 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional, have changing pathways, and have possibly no dead-ends but a bunch of loops instead.

Puzzle
Puzzle is a main challenge type. Puzzles require thinking beyond just finding an answer and applying it. Puzzles may require logic, deductive reasoning, and abstract thinking to be solved. They may come in the form of riddles, math problems, or clue sets. Most puzzles have defined rules, but some involve figuring out the essence of the challenge itself without anything said.

Search
Search is a main challenge type (but usually used as a sub-type). Searches involve finding some sort of "key" to "unlock" the correct path. This may involve finding signs with answer information, or hitting buttons that briefly open access to other buttons, or looking for some sort of hidden trigger to a locked door. As this is more looking than solving, this has been created and separated from the Puzzle type. Both Puzzles and Searches share the same rooms.

Dropper
Dropper is a main challenge type. Dropper maps were once lumped in with parkour, but have recently become prevalent enough to be considered their own map type. Dropper maps typically include falling sections where the goal is to land safely at the bottom of a large descent. Sometimes, other gameplay elements can be included, such as trying to avoid fall-damage while descending a tower.

Adventure
Adventure maps are a main challenge type. They are unique in that they are typically a combination of at least three different types. They must contain a story or a plot, which can be presented in various ways (visually, implicitly, in writing, etc.). The map will usually feel like an experience beyond what would be expected in a non-Adventure map.

Sub Challenge Types
Sub Challenge Types are Map Elements that contribute to a map, but alone cannot make a solid level.
Guess
Guesses are a sub-type, as no FFA maps are solely Guess. Instead, Guess challenges are mixed in commonly with Mazes and Parkour. In a Guess challenge, the goal is to pick a correct path from a group of potential paths without any form of clues or insight. For this reason, Guesses are notorious for being time wasters, as it usually takes multiple tries to find the correct path. The punishment for choosing a wrong path is usually death or a large setback, and once committed to a path, there is usually no way to back out of it.

Mobs
Mobs are a sub-type as well. Mobs are challenges where the threat of dying to hostile mobs is present. Sometimes the mobs are to be avoided entirely, sometimes you will have to get through a few mobs to progress, and sometimes it is required for you to kill all the mobs before advancing. Some Mobs maps give armor and weapons before you have to face them.

No Sprint
No Sprint maps are a sub-type. No Sprint maps will remove the ability to sprint, limiting movement speed. These maps are typically quite difficult, as jumps tend to be tighter than usual.

Elytra
Elytra maps are a sub type. Elytra maps will require the player to complete a course using the elytra item. This is currently the rarest sub-type.

Co-op
Co-op maps are a sub-type. Co-op maps are designed specifically for two or more people. The challenge may require you to work with another person to beat it, or it may pit you up against the other person. Some Co-op maps can be completed with only one person, but others require at least two people.

Trivia
*The most common map type is Parkour, as Maze, the second most common type, having significantly less maps.
*Many of the earlier maps contain Guess, due to the lack of other options at the time.

Adventure maps are a main challenge type. They are unique in that they are a combination of at least three different types (all of which consist of a significant portion of the map), and are typically longer than the average map. They focus around a story or a plot, and this plot goes beyond just an exposition at the beginning and a denouement at the end. The map follows the journey of the player and is molded around their experience as a person, instead of focusing solely on the environment.

Challenges can be found in the Challenges corner at spawn. It includes every challenge on the server.

Global Ranking is a system which ranks anyone who has joined the server. Global Ranking is determined by a players Speedrun Score. While the internal algorithm is not inherently clear, it is known that number of map completions and speed of completion relative to other times factor into the algorithm. The points related to global ranking/speedrun score are often shorthanded to srscore.

General Commands
Speedrun Score from a given map
/c srscore <player> <map>
This command displays the amount of Speedrun Score obtained from a given map for the username. <player> substitutes for a username (e.g. Hypotenuse67), and <map> substitutes for a map code. A map code must be used for <map>
Ranking Leaderboard
/c ranks <page>
This command displays the leaderboard or Global Ranking, organized from the most to the least amount of Speedrun Score. <page> is not required to specify, but it will automatically display the first page of the leaderboard. Each page displays 8 players (and therefore the first page has the top 8). Running the basic command will result in a message similar to this:
*Corpeh's label is a creator is very unusual, because he has never been on Minr before. The reason he is credited as being a co-creator of Project Sierra is because MrSnerp made the Saturn V shuttle as well as the base near it as a complete recreation of downloaded models from builds Corpeh put up on his Planet Minecraft profile. MrSnerp made the mazes inside on his own.
**Similarly, Masts’ label is unique, as they were of the blue rank when their map was published.

*Some Challenge Packs consist of all maps by a specific creator. One example is Follow Freeman, which consists of all maps by spolendina.
Sakura consists of simple stretches of parkour that ascend to the top of a mountain. Players must make their way across floating birds and platforms that span over the center of the map, as well as up the petals of a sakura tree, to reach the end sign.
Aesthetics
The map takes place between the cherry blossom tree-topped peaks of a natural mountain. The start of the map contains a structure surrounded by pools of water and foliage, while the mountain peaks themselves are accentuated by trails of leaves, vibrant flowers, and redstone lamps. The area also contains a hot air balloon leading into banner-ringed platforms.
Aqueous is a mixed parkour map by yeroc424. It rewards 12 points upon completion, and can be joined directly using the commands:
#/c join Aqueous
#/c join y4a
General
Gameplay
Aesthetics
Origin
Original article written by yeroc424

This map was first conceived in a dream - a network of rotted bridges held by wooden towers atop a foggy mountain. To keep the dream fresh in the mind, it was doodled in a notebook during school, and the concept of passing through the mountain with tunnels was introduced here. It was deemed that this could become a minecraft project, and so yeroc424 began building it on Zero. The fog element had to be lost, and the mountain constructed was much too small for the original idea. As a result, the map focused more upon the water below and the contents of the mountain. A small pagoda was build atop the mountain, and a dungeon filled the interior of the mountain, which mostly replaced the tunnel idea. Also, though it was originally intended to be a three-dimensional open maze, the broken bridges inspired yeroc to make the map into parkour instead. Thus, project Aqueous was begun, taking three months for its completion.
Course Details
The map is primarily parkour, with the goal of reaching the top of the pagoda. Outside the mountain, one needs to think cleverly to cross the bridges; not all paths are as straightforward as they seem. There are at least three branches of direction, but no directions lead to dead ends. However, some are harder than others. The mountain itself contains a hellish, lava-filled dungeon. This needs to be traversed at least two times in order to beat the map. There is a checkpoint at the halfway mark, and this is the saving grace for most players. Upon finishing the bridge section, the player must jump across a maze of glowstone hovering over the map. Once this is completed, the player enters the pagoda - only to be met by a labyrinth with no dead ends. This map is extremely difficult (orange wool) and awards twelve points. Aqueous is found in the first FFA+ parkour room.
Legacy
The map has become a favorite for point-hungry greens. Those who beat this map are held with distinction by their competitors. It is also commonly subject to the joke of being "the easiest map". Yet, yeroc did not initially intend the map to be tough; he wanted it to be more of an endurance test, much like the much-older Sky Parkour by RomanTheEvil. For this reason, no ceiling jumps or required four-gap jumps are present. The course was among the first added to FFA+, thus setting a standard for aspiring builders. It is favored for being visually open, yet compressing multiple paths to small areas, which yeroc is known to do. Also, there are strong, appealing color contrasts outside and inside the dungeon, and even in the floors of the pagoda. One glaring flaw is that the entire map floats much above the water, and the mountain was never finished. However, yeroc has no intent to complete the mountain. Underneath the mountain is Flamango, yeroc's easter egg character from his Block Party collaboration.
Challenges
This map is featured in six challenges: Flamingo Fury, The A-Team, Welcome to Hell, Hard Parkour Pack, Path of Heroes, and Hexa.
Trivia
